Offering a solid well rounded schedule for every type of practitioner, we are open 7 days per week. You can always count on the studio temperature being soothingly warm (but not too hot), to encourage relaxation in the body. We offer many forms of energy work with each one of these practices containing the potential to help you cultivate positive transformation and quality living. Description of Classes:
The core is the central powerhouse to our bodies. Building strong core protects our backs and other areas from injury. Be prepared to connect your inner strength as you work to stabilize yourself in challenging postures and stay connected to your breath while flowing through toning yoga exercises. This is a great class for improving your balance and posture.
ALL LEVELS WELCOME! If your core is weak, do not let that be a deterrent to take this class - we all start somewhere and we can offer modifications or options!
Gentle Yoga *Beginner Friendly
This is a great class for beginners or those dealing with an injury or those who just prefer to move slowly. This is a relaxing that class will leave you feeling stretched and alive. Additional benefits include: improving low back pain and teaching you how to relax!
Foundational Yoga Skills (Drop-in) * Beginner Friendly
An introduction to Hatha Yoga. Learning in depth the basics of yoga in a workshop fashion. Learn the names, anatomical features and benefits of the basic postures of yoga. Specific instruction on breathing, alignment and transitioning. This is a slow moving class. If you are injured or in pain please call a day ahead of time before dropping in, 250-270-0056, so the teacher is prepared for your arrival.
Yin Yang | Yang Yin * Beginner Friendly
These practices are designed to offer the balancing effects of yin (passive) and yang(active) styles of yoga. The Yin portion of the class draws upon the more internal, quiet and longer held postures. The Yang portion includes balance postures, active holds, moving and dynamic or heat producing yoga postures to create a holistic body experience.
Body Bliss *Beginner Friendly
Come stretch out in this slow paced, rejuvenating class. This class focuses on releasing tension through breath and feel good postures. Prepare for a class geared mostly towards seated/lying postures and filled with forward folds, twisting, wall work and supported backbends.
This practice will be wonderful asset for golfers, hikers or anyone wanting to relieve tension in the body.
Hot Yoga *Beginner Friendly
Emphasis will be on the FLOW - synergy between breath and movement to help you deepen your practice. This class is always moving, and is great for hip strength and stretch upper body strengthening and improving cardiovascular health. We will always include some nice stretches for the neck and shoulders.Although not as hot as a traditional hot room, The 32 degree heat and humidity will help relieve tension in those tight muscles and detoxify your body. All levels welcome. Although we don't provide showers at this time, at the end of class you will be rewarded with a cold, essential oil cloth to help cool you down and further relax you into a state of bliss.
Vinyasa Flow (Not currently on schedule)
Each class consists of a warm-up, followed by a flow of asana (poses), incorporating pranayama (breath-work) throughout, as well as meditation, and final relaxation, to allow the body, mind, and spirit to come together as one. This flow class is intended to improve your fitness level and help you gain more strength and flexibilty throughout the entire body. No experience needed, as variations will be provided, however prepare to enjoy a class of movement and fluidity!
Slow Flow *Beginner Friendly
Glow from the inside out with this gentle flow class that opens the hips and activates the core. Not fast moving, but focusing on "pure" movement. Both the beginner and season practitioner will love this class!
Candlelight Yin Yoga * Beginner Friendly
Create space and ease with long held seated or lying postures that relax the muscles and target the deep connective tissues of the body. Yin yoga is a grounding and meditative practice, and a beautiful way to balance an active life or Yang-style yoga practice. Suitable for all levels. If you have knee issues, you may find this practice challenging.
Sunrise Yoga *Beginner Friendly
Start your day the right way - give yourself a chance to move your body and stretch out all those tensions! This class is a wonderful way to gently move your body, create a little bit of sweat for detoxifying, awaken the core and then bring it down so you are relaxed and prepared for a wonderful day!
Happy Hips *Beginner Friendly
Happy Fit Hips will help improve the hip-joint mobility and help ease pain. Through a balanced selection of postures that are focused on both strengthening and stretching the hips, this class will leave you feeling energized and revitalized.
Yoga for Shoulders and Neck *Beginner Friendly
Do you have headaches, neck and shoulder pain or tension? Do you hunch over a computer all day and find yourself with pain in your shoulders, neck or upper back? This is an accessible and effective class focusing on the neck shoulders, and upper back.
Relieve tension, create space and learn helpful stretches you to help keep your upper body, open and pain free!
Funky Beats Flow and Restore (Not currently on schedule)
A combination of yoga with awesome tunes that will help you find your happy place. Each week we will have a super fun playlist that will help us get lost in the moment. It could be anything from the latest funky beats to songs from your younger days, songs you may be ashamed to admit you L-O-V-E! The class is suited to all levels with options for those who have never seen a yoga mat, to those who handstand on the regular. Most importantly we will aim to have a lot of fun!
This is a yoga class for the experienced yogi. You should have familiarity with all the postures and good awareness of transitioning safely. The class will vary weekly, but will be concentrated on a mix of intermediate to advanced postures with longer holds, standing alone or weaved into continuous flow. This is our only official level 2 class on schedule.
Start your day the right way - enjoy an early morning practice to get you ready for whatever is coming. This early a.m class draws from all styles of yoga to create a wonderful wake-up and get ready practice. All levels welcome.
A fusion of yin and fascia rolling techniques.This class is excellent for those who have tight joints and muscles and for those looking for a greater flexibility.This is a both an active and relaxing class designed to specifically work the connective tissues of the body. This class consists of holding postures in a relaxed manner for several minutes (yin) to activate and work the fibres of your tendons, ligaments and the systems involved in these tissues.
