All of the sessions listed below are offered by preregistration. If you purchase any of the preregistered sessions below, any additional classes from the drop-in schedule may be attended for only $10, as long as they fall between the start date and end date of your session! Sorry, but we do not offer make up sessions or refunds in the case you miss a class in your preregistered session, though we may accommodate with a reduced price if you let us know before registering that you will miss a class. Each class requires a minimum of 4 people registered to run. In the event there is not enough people registered, you will be notified 2 days before and your $$ returned via e-transfer or cheque (your preference)on the week after your start date was suppose to occur.

Description: Starting from the very basics. Dedicated to those who have very little to absolutely no knowledge of yoga practice. This program will teach you the main foundational poses that are found in any Hatha yoga practice. There will be an emphasis on safe practice, modifications for poses, breath work and basic yoga philosophy. The class will have a slow pace with a mix of hands on practice and discussion.

DESCRIPTION: Yoga is excellent for nourishing the mind and body throughout the life span and at times we'll find that we need something challenging yet gentle to keep us young in mind, body and spirit. This class uses a chair for additional support. Most of the exercises are done while sitting, leaning, or holding onto a chair. This makes it a great way to practice yoga for people that aren’t otherwise too active in their lives and/or have limited mobility. Gentle movement encourages better circulation, while weight bearing standing poses are a safe way to help build bone density. Awaken areas of the body that have been inactive, soothe aching joints, and strengthen muscles, while you calm your mind with this enjoyable practice. Any level of practitioner can benefit from this class. Be sure to tell your teacher about any physical limitations or illness so that modifications can be offered for a more comfortable experience.

POWERFUL HATHA Yoga (4 SESSIONS)

This is a fun, upbeat yoga class for the experienced yogi or for those who know how to move their body with awareness. Practitioners choosing this class should have familiarity with basic yoga postures and intelligent body awareness. The class will vary weekly, but will be concentrated on a mix of intermediate to advanced postures with longer holds to increase strength and endurance. Modifications will be provided but we will cater this class to keeping the integrity of getting into and holding stronger postures. This is your chance to learn how to create the foundation and to safely try inversions and arm balances. Each class you will learn a different progression for peak postures!

Our prenatal yoga class provides a nurturing environment for women. Through yoga postures, guided relaxation and breath awareness you will prepare the body and mind for the birth, and at the same time relieve the discomfort and stress associated with pregnancy.
These classes will leave you feeling strong, relaxed and more connected to yourself and your baby. No Yoga experience is required and you can join the class when you are ready. Please consult your doctor or midwife.
